Goal: To train the children with various skills, so that they can find adequate employment to sustain their living.
Don Bosco believed that the country’s growth depends on the quality of its youth. Therefore, we decided to work to improve the skills of the youth through skill training programs and vocational courses. These are short term courses which enable them to get satisfactory in their respective fields. We offer skill courses such as Hotel Management, Computer, Beauty Culture and GDA (general duty assistant).
The Chandigarh urban region has good vocational training centers (ITIs), colleges and universities, but they are not available to the poorest section of the population. As a result, many young people find themselves in precarious employment or are unemployed. DBNS provides skill training courses of the children who belong to under privileged section of the society.

Hotel Management
The Food & Beverage Service Steward is responsible for efficiently and courteously serving food and beverage to guests of hotel, restaurant, canteens and banquet functions. The duration of the course is six months.
Scope:
The individual at work greets and seats the guests; takes down their orders; serves them with tableware, food, beverages, and accompaniments; finally clears the used dishes and settles the customer’s accounts as per the company’s policy. Duration of Hotel Management course is 6 months and we ensure the placement of the children.
GDA (General Duty Assistant)
Healthcare (GDA) are also known as “Nursing Care Assistants”, “Nursing Assistant” ,“Nursing Aides”, “Bedside Assistants” or “Orderlies” when working in a hospital environment. The duration of the course is six months.
Scope: Individual on the job provides patient care and help maintain a suitable environment. Some of the key responsibilities of the General Duty Assistant are to provide patient’s daily care, patient’s comfort, patient’s safety and patient’s health needs.
Computer Training
The IT-ITES Industry is also known as a Customer Service Associate, Customer Service Representative, Customer Care Executive, Customer Service Advisor, Help-desk Coordinator, Customer Support Representative, Process Associate-Voice. The duration of the course is three months.
Scope: Individuals in this job receive and make telephone calls which are primarily scripted, basic and routine with the assistance of a computerized system. They answer inquiries, resolve problems, record complaints and/or receive feedback.
Beauty culture
An Assistant Beautician in the Beauty and Wellness Sector is a critical operational job-role providing various types of beauty services in salons and spas. The duration of the course is six months.
Scope: Assistant Beautician is expected to perform basic epilation, manicure, pedicure and basic face care services and also assist the beautician in providing advanced services. The person also assists in salon ambiance maintenance and also does various other odd jobs in the salon including sell salon retail products after obtaining knowledge on them.
