About Don Bosco

DON BOSCO started its work in India in 1906. Don Bosco Network spread over more than 145 countries providing various services to young people around the world. The network has secondary schools, senior secondary schools, colleges, formal and informal technical institutions, agricultural schools, social work center’s, mass media production center’s, publication houses, Special Schools, Vocational Centre’s and Residential homes rehabilitation center’s for different categories of Children and Young at Risk – Children in the slums and Children on the streets, Child Labourers, Substance Abuses, Children with Special needs or at risk etc. In India it is spread over more than 22 states with hundreds of educational, technical and social work centers.

Success Stories

Sanjana lives in Sector-52, Chandigarh. Every evening she attends tuition class at Don Bosco Tuition Center Sector-52. She studies in class 6th at Government High School, Sector-52. She belongs to a downtrodden family and is a hardworking student. Last week, she took part in inter school reading competition organised by the Education Department, Chandigarh, UT and got first position. We congratulate her on this achievement.

Ishu, an eleven year old girl and studying in class 6th. She is a student of Don Bosco Navjeevan Society and she bagged her seat in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya which is one of the finest institutions in India for secondary education. In acute economic conditions and lack of facilities, Ishu made her path to success with the help of DBNS tuition classes. She is a resident of Ramdarbar colony and her father works as a security guard by which he hardly earns for the family's basic needs.

Bhavna d/o Ashwani Kumar Gupta/Chhaya Gupta an 11years old girl who is a student of DBNS, Vikas Nagar class 5th has qualified her seat in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandigarh. She is a resident of Vikas Nagar. Her father works in a Factory and his earnings are insufficient for the basic needs of the family. In extremely poor economic conditions and lack of facilities, Bhavna made her success with the help of remedial classes of DBNS at Vikas Nagar. Bhavna has two sisters and one brother that makes a big family and her family is facing difficulties in life during COVID-19. In these, circumstances Bhavna became bold and led her to a step of success in achieving a seat in Navodaya.
