A capacity building workshop for SHG members from Ramdarbar, Faidan village, Vikas Nagar and Indira colony was organised on April 15, 2023 at Don Bosco Sawera Sector 47 Chandigarh by Don Bosco Navjeevan Society under the supervision of DBNS Coordinator Mrs. Manju Bala. 32 Women, leaders of different SHGs took part in it. Ms Vimla From Don Bosco Family Counselling Centre Prayaas Building Sector 38 Chandigarh sensitized on their rights and on the schemes for women welfare provided by different govt departments/NGOs. Mr Rajinder Singh FLCC from SBI took a session on Bank Linkage & Saving Schemes available with different banks. The DBNS coordinator Mrs Jasdeep Kaur Guraya explained to them ‘the Management of Self Help Groups’ through a participatory session. Post lunch, a very informative session on Product Marketing was held and it was taken by Ms. Astha and Ms Rattan Kaur ( Interns from CSK, HPA University Palampur Himachal Pradesh). A short video prepared by Ms Astha showing how the women of the Self Help Groups facilitated by Don Bosco Navjeevan Society took entrepreneurship training and started economic activities. Ms Astha motivated the participants to become successful by learning a skill like these women and starting any economic activity. The whole program was very useful for the SHG members.
